2003 g35 coupe
I am going to buy a greddy tt i have bought pistons and rods. My question is do i really need to get the whole valve train(part of it or not of it?) If i do springs/ shims and retainers do i need valves too or oem ok. I want approx 500 and 350 daily. |

You do not necessarily need to run aftermarket cams to meet your hp goals, but the right cams will probably make it easier. Generally speaking, stock valves are adequate for 500 hp. Also, based on your question, I'm assuming that you are not a VQ expert. It's probably worthwhile to pick a qualified VQ tuner and to work with that tuner to select the appropriate components to achieve your goals.
