Vortech Inline Fuel Pump alternative

so I'm still needing a vortech inline fuel pump to complete my makeshift "full kit" on my revup g35.

thus far I've got the unichip with the preloaded map and am working on getting things finalized on a vortech FMU. both of these are to go along with my tuner kit that I bought new.

now if I have trouble finding a used vortech inline fuel pump is it reasonable to replace it with an in-tank fuel pump instead?

or, if I get, for example, a walbro 255 LPH pump that most people use will I have to step it up to get new injectors? I keep hearing that if I get a walbro 255 LPH pump that it will increase strain on the injectors and I won't be able to get by without new ones.

I also have no idea if the vortech FMU is related to the inline fuel pump so I wanted to see if a different pump could be combined with that FMU and still be compatible.

I'm trying to temporarily avoid the cost of new injectors and simply run a out of the box vortech full kit.

thanks.

It should just be the amount of fuel coming in... the inline plus your stock should be the same at the walbro alone. I really would change injectors if you dont want to be running your injectors at a HIGH output but thats just me

I just learned recently that I cannot use the Vortech FMU if I plan on usinga walbro 255.

This is because the FMU is connected to the inline fuel pump to regulate it. Also the Vortech FMU for the revup is 10:1 with no spring as opposed to the non-revup being 7:1 with a spring loaded style

GTM has controlled the inline pump with a UTEC already. they utilized an on/off solenoid function that is normally used for things such as methanol and nitrous to control it.
