what should I look for on this car?

Considering buying this car, but I've never owned an fi car and don't know what to look for when inspecting it. My company has a shop just down the road so I'll have access to a lift and techs just don't know what else to look for.

I would run, very fast, in the opposite direction. Not only is it overpriced but its a ticking time bomb with the "Turbobox Computor Chip" as an FI tuning solution. Being as they don't even offer support for Nissan/Infiniti's, I would venture to bet this is a flat out lie.
Its not putting out "well over 400 hp" and will NOT "smoke most any car on the road".
I see an ebay cat-back exhaust and a bolt on Vortech kit (spoken like Jesse from F&F).. nowhere near $15,000 in upgrades without more proof. G35's are great cars.. until you just throw a vortech kit on it and cross your fingers

For $15,000 in mods I'd be looking for aftermarket brakes, wheels, intercooler, gauges inside for the supercharger, I'd really expect tint, bumpers, shift ****, full exhaust.
Instead you have.. stock brakes, stock tires, where's the intercooler? the gauges? tint, bumpers, *****, buttons, LED's, or anything to show it's modded in any way? The "titanium burnt tip" cat back exhaust is not a full stainless steel exhaust system. It's cat-back with cute tips.
Honestly, for $5,000 in mods over the s/c I'd be looking for them. Biggest giveaway is lack of obvious value-mods that you can find on even the riciest G's out there. LED's cost $10 to outfit the whole car. Brakes aren't cheap, but $500 fits easily in a $15,000 budget.
Just don't do it. Auctioning a car that is clearly stock + catback and a supercharger thrown on to see what happens? Probably engine problems, hence the auction style "as-is, I don't know anything" sale.

No chance is hell it is anywhere near 15k in mods or 400hp. The exhaust is a cheap knock off X02 exhaust (HKS fake), which is a clear indicator that the previous owner cut corners. Also means that the clutch was probably never upgraded (ie a 2,000 dollar ticking time bomb).
Also they are asking wayyy too much. The car is only worth 12-13k at most.
Mods do not add value, especailly mystery mods.
