Thinking of upgrading too

I am thinking of upgrading to the Stillen supercharger kit as well. How did the upgrade experience go for you? Are you getting the HP they promise? Any reliability issues so far?

I have a 2008 G35 Journey that is currently stock but my main concern is reducing the reliability since I plan to keep it another 5+ years. I am worried that adding that much HP might cause issues but everything I read seems to imply the engine/transmission can handle it.

I daily drive my car and as long as your not punching every time, your engine will be fine. Your not always going to be running at 9psi. I know for the future i will rebuild my engine and get the 11lb pulley just for fun. So far i had the kit on my car and nothing so far. I plan to keep my car for another 10 years

I second this. I don't have his model but I drive 300+ miles a week and don't have any reliability issues. If it is installed and tuned well you'll be fine even if you occasionally punch it.

Thanks for the input. It's nice to hear that it is working well.

Did you do the install in your garage or did you take it to a professional? I think I could do a lot of it with my father-in-law's help but I am worried about some of the electrical items.

I had a good shop here do mine. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself unless you have all the right stuff. There likely will be some fabrication and you'll definitely need to have it tuned.
