Valve cover oil leak under boost?
I recently installed a Momentum Performance ST kit its not tuned yet but I have done a couple test drives on the "included flash" nothing over 4000 RPM's or 3-4 PSI. Im running a catch-can setup inline with the PCV valve and the plenum and the PCV was ops checked good. During those small boost runs I get a leak that drips on the turbo dump pipe causing smoke, im worried that the crank case is somehow getting boost into it.
The motor has 30,000 on it and was replaced by the dealer under the revup OC recall. Im thinking maybe replace the valve cover gasket and see if that was the problem or am I missing something.
Thanks

You should not have pressure in the crankcase if you set things up correctly. By the way, the car is likely fine kept at just a few psi but get it tuned because while AFRs may be fine, you will want to dial back timing as well. The stock PCV system is not well designed for a turbo set up because the PCV valve can let boost back in. Drill out the PCV from behind so that it is just a nipple, but you cannot just connect it back to the manifold (which sees boost) without a check valve to prevent air from going from the manifold to the valve cover.
There is a nice long thread on my 350 z . c o m that you should check out in the FI section. For now, if you want the safe, short version, just put breathers on your drilled out PCV and rear driver's side valve cover nipple.
