are you referring to the clearance strip down the side of the headlamp assembly on 03-05s? if so, you need to remove the headight which im sure you can find a DIY for, and then just twist out the light from the back. i have blue leds in mine.

No need to remove the headlight in either case. You need to access the headlight assembly thru the back, by going thru the wheel well.

You need to turn the front wheel in on the side your working on....
Jack the car up so the front tire is just about off the ground...or take it off completely....some find this easier, but it takes more time.
Locate the five or six pin fastners that are around the front half of the plastic wheel well liner, and remove them......you take them off by using a small flat head screw driver, and simply pop up the round center portion and remove. You do not have to remove them all, just the ones that will allow you to pull down the liner in the front....
There are a couple of small phillips head screws that fasten the liner to the lip of the fender.....remove the screw for the front part. Its on the middle top of the fender.
After that is complete, separate the two parts and pull down the front half of the liner, and you will have access to the back of the headlight.

After replacing the bulbs....simple reverse the steps and go grab a sandwich.

This whole procedure will take no more that 20 mins on each side the first time.

Good luck

im not disagreeing to be difficult but its WAAAYYY easier to just remove the headlight assembly instead of the wheel and fender liner. and if this guy has an '06 i dont even know what parking lights hes talking about other than the corner lights and then none of that stuff is necessary to do

there are parking lights on the '06 i know coz i changed mine. its a small bulb w/ the foglight bulb.
Like the GR8TG35 said you need to jack up the car and take off the tabs on the fender lining. If you want more space take off the wheels
