Nismo Titanium Shift **** Issue

Whats up guys, I bought this Nismo shift **** and the diameter is too large for the shifter. I seen other Z33's and G35's with this **** installed and no one mentions a fitment issue like this. the **** didn't come with anything besides a shift pattern so im confused. I don't see why there would be a adapter since this should fit all manual transmission nissans right? I know the only cars the shift **** claims not to fit are cars with reverse auto lock (Sentra Se-R and Altima Se-R). Anyone have any knowledge of this?

it lists 10mm and 12mm. not sure exactly what its trying to say. maybe the red means these vehicles are 10mm and this shift **** will not fit these models, and the blue is saying these model nissans are 12mm and the shift **** will fit those. Funny how nobody mentions how they fit this **** on their Z33 or G35.

*Update*

just figured out that if you want to use this specific Nismo GT Titanium Shift **** (the other titanium shift **** is from the Legacy line of Nismo Shift ***** which is 10mm) youll need a outside 12mm to inside 10mm adapter.
heres the link to one, $8 shipped
