Axle/drivetrain upgrade help
I own a very low mileage 2006 g35 coupe and as the topic states I'm doing a swap for my engine and trans to multiply my power. As of now I have the engine the trans and full swap kits/adapters for both. I'm getting stuck when it comes down to my axles and rear end/differential. Which rear end would be my best bet to support the most power? And also any advice is appreciated

If you are just building a high power street car, odds are you'll just blow off the tires before reaching the limits of breakage. if you are setting up for drag racing, then you are looking at about $1K just for axles

It really depends on your end use of this car.

It really has nothing to do with you. Being on this forum for over 10 years now, I have seen hundreds of people post threads about questions for this future FI or swap plans... only for it to never happen. I can say probably only 1 in 20 threads every actually happen.

I've been saving my money for a few months. I know it's going to be expensive. I completely see where your coming from but I've been saving up just to get all this. I know for a fact I'm getting the 2jz, I'm stuck between saving a little money between the getrag and t56, I need to get a custom cooling kit for the tiwn turbo setup which may be some extra bucks and basically the biggest concern at the moment is how in going to run the engin/trans to the rear wheels the best. I'm not bullshitting. I just need some help

If it happens, I would be pleasantly surprised. I am assuming you are buying a full motor with tranny. So why not just use the getrag? They can easily handle your power goals. Seems to be more expensive and harder to use a T56 converter, custom flywheel, ect. Or why not just use your G35 CD009 trans?
