My guess is their VR system was not as sophisticated as others such as Acura. I suspect it got things wrong frequently and they felt by keeping the VR commands to BT, NAV and a few basics they woudl make the success rate and thus customer expierience with VR a more positive one. Int he end they shoudl get the VR more accurate. Acura has a superior VR and yes it makes mistakes occasionally, but it is right far more than wrong.
