Re: Bose stereo
NO! Everyone feels that the bose isn't worth the money. When U get the bose upgrade all your are getting is a bose amp and bose sub, in actual fact people feel that the bose upgrade is worthless and that the stock setup actually sounds better. But thats up to u. Many people end up changing their speakers...and if your enough of an audiophile...just stick with stock and save your money to upgrade.

Re: Bose stereo
Sorry Colin, but I have to go against you on this one. I was so excited that my coupe was offered with a Bose, but I was so disappointed that it didn't meet the same quality that my ' 91 Maxima had. The CD sounds wonderful, but the FM and the XM could be a lot better. My Maxima Bose system was simply incredible, and it would blow the windows out of my neighbor's homes. I feel they "took away" the quality from our G's, and I don't know why. It's just not the same Bose that I have been used to. Just my opinion.

Re: Bose stereo
Muddy, thumpy lows. Weak, tinny highs. Muddled midrange. The Bose is definitely NOT worth the money. I haven't heard a crisp high-hat or ride cymbal since I bought my G. It's a major hassle to change or upgrade too. You can't just throw an Alpine in there to replace it.

Re: Bose stereo
I heard about everyones complaints but got the premium package on my coupe anyway. however, i also heard that the 2004 sound system was slightly altered
with that in mind, i was immediately pleased with how everything sounded, it was definitely not as bad as everyone had said

Re: Bose stereo
My 2003 Bose stereo on FM sucks, but my CD's sound awesome. Is there anything to fix that?

Re: Bose stereo
i agree with JNKCV...
the bose is really not that bad..its perfect..has good bass..good treble..you have to tweak it slightly..I have my treble way up..and bass at +1..and I like it so far..
but would I spend the extra money if I had the stock one, probably not..cause u can get a better one..
But if you buy it as an option in the begining..its a good alternative..
