Why don't you just fabricate a story that you filed a police report against her and any damages that occur will come back to her. I think she'll shawt in her panties and won't do anything.

Theres already a police report, and the cop knows about her facebook status. She had her car tires slashed and claims it's me so she filed a police report except she changed her story three times already, and i made note to the cop about her status saying "lets **** him up or his car" then she comments on her status saying how shes going to put oil into my car and does anyone want to come? Thanks for the verification on opening it while its locked, I went out and they had not shut it, I figured any smart person would close it again and I wouldnt have known, but now I'm getting towed to infiniti to get it flushed.

any smart person woud also not have posted their wrong doings on a facebook status. sounds like it was a wise decision to get rid of her when you did! good luck with everything

before you shell out the money for the tow bill, flush and gas...why not pop you back seat up and take out the 8 or so screws that hold the fuel pump in and just peak inside to see if she did infact put anything in there?

I went out tonight and my gas tank was open, not blatantly open but it wasnt locked in place like it should have been, I was wondering how easy it is to open our gas tanks while the car is locked (thus locking the gas tank lid). I took a flashlight and see no signs of forced entry but I know I havent filled up my gas for the last week and I checked my gas tank this morning and last night by pressing on it to make sure it wasnt open etc.

The thing that boggles me is, I was able to push the gas lid shut while the car was still locked, so why didnt these people do that so I had no idea? Anyway the fact is it was opened, and I'm wodnering if they didnt use some sort of tool to push down the locking mechanism?

Now I have to figure out how to see if anything irregular is in my gas tank..

I would put my car in the garage but like hell my parents are going to put their porsches outside, we live in a nice neighborhood etc but what can you do, ex's.

I have an 06 g35 coupe.
sucks dude, u have problems

if u seriously try hard enough to open the gas cap, it shouldn't be a big deal
(ex. flathead to gas tank)
i say u either
1. hit her with a bat
2. burn down her house
3. do both
4. sleep in your car and pop out

u have a crazy gf...

Do you realize that if you press on the gas door while the car is locked it will pop open a bit the next time you unlock the car?

Just put a thin tube down the fuel filler neck and drain out some gas from the top of the tank(oil floats). Only put the hose in the tank far enough to just touch the surface of where the fuel starts in the tank. You should be able to tell when you get there by blowing into the end of the tube that is sticking out of the tank. If there is resistance or you hear a bubbling noise, you know that the other end is submerged in fuel. Siphon out a little gas and if it looks murky, you know she's put something in the tank. You can use a hand pump on the end of the tube to get the siphon going so that you don't accidentally injest any gas by trying to use your mouth for creating suction(like people used to do in the old days).

You could even go as far as just draining the entire tank this way and then if it looks good, pour it back in through a funnel.

Whatever you do... don't go to Infiniti to have this done. Any Joe-Shmoe shade-tree mechanic should be able to do this procedure without issue and with no tools other than a piece of thin hose and possibly a cheap $4 hand pump that you can buy at WalMart.
