Front Tires??

So, about a month ago I had to replace my rear tires as I ran over a knife and the tire was shot. I put on Michillin Pilot Sport A/S on the rear as I wanted something with good performance, but I really liked the 45K mile warranty and the ability to handle wet and snow better. The left the fronts alone at the time but now I'm looking to replace them before changing over to snow tires/rims (I live in CT). I'm debating whether I should throw another pair of the Pilot Sport A/S in the front, or whether it would be better to put a true Summer Tire in the front for better handling. I have been told that this could create a bad situation for oversteer since the front would have more traction than the rear. Wondering what you guys think.

Don't mix types of tires based on speed rating, load rating and compound - it's not a good idea from a handling and safety perspective, and could make the VDC act strangely. I would replace all 4 together, either to Pilot Sport A/S until they wear out, or to a summer tire if you're going to use snows for the winter. Generaly the rears wear out 2x as fast as the fronts, so you might be able to get by on the A/S' until they wear out and just drive carefully.

Alex, stick with the Michelins! Having a pair of matched tires will only improve how your G handles/drives. I've used many top named brand tires and Michelins have never disappointed me....others have!
