I have THE worst luck.

Went to go paint my headlights and couldn't get the damn things apart..

Eventually I figured it out but in the process I snapped the bezel in half.

And guess what... I carefully worked on the second one and still broke the bezel.

So now I have two broken headlights.

Time to upgrade to the 06s.

WTB: 06 headlights.

Are you sure the headlight housing's didn't already have a hairline crack/fracture? I know the 03-05's headlamps had an issue where the housings cracked over time, mine ended up cracking on my 04 headlights without me doing anything any mods to the headlights....

Relax man What I ended up doing is super glueing the housing back together where it cracked and painted the housings black and put it back together, now I'm sure if you got the skills you should be able to fix this maybe? GOOD LUCK

F*** baking you just need a heat gun, that works perfectly at least the 7+ people I know that did them including me have had no complaints but, maybe next time upgrade to 06' then try again

Same thing happened to me (on one side only). Just glue it back together, sand, and paint. I probably could have done a better job sanding, but if you're making them black, you can't see anything unless you're within 6 inches:

I cracked one of mine in the same exact place. Luckily I had two sets to experiment with. Gluing and sanding worked perfectly for me as well. Can't even see it if you're painting them black.
