Just get a mid pipe made minus resonter and get a better muffler! Thats what l did and used a magan racing oe rs muffler. I love the sound! Not lots of drone either!

Amazon cat back is cheap an sounds good

I ran my car with no exaust for five days waiting for my aftermarket exaust to come in worst decision ever cause it vibrates terribly an u can't even hear urself think an this was on my 04 coupe I have the $300 dollar dual cat back system off amazon an it not also sounds very clean an deep but I did have a noticeable increase in torque also if u go with the high flow cats makes a pretty noticeable difference to but also increases the loudness of the exaust. Just my opinion but I'll never drive with no exaust again.

I have an 06 6MT and had a muffler shop remove my muffler and add two straight pipes in place of the muffler. Then I had them weld the oem tips to give it a stock look. I think it sounds great. It's loud in the low to mid range and gets a little quieter at higher rpm. I lost low end power though. Shop charged me 70. This will do until I get a catback.

I had my shop copy the stock mid pipe minus resonater I wanted a magan oe rs exh system but none available. I was lucky to find the oe rs muffler in stainless no burnt tips. All magan did was copy stock exh and make it 3 in. Basically l did the same. Sounds great! I didnt loose any performance. I gained 10 hp thats what magan says with their system. I believe it. I can feel the difference .magan isnt expensive complete system $450 if you can find it! Im happy with my setup!

I actually had 2005 coupe 6mt with muffler delete and the sound isnt terribly loud as ppl say l did feel low end lost a bit not too much. No rasp but there was a bit drone.. However now i got ART PIPES installed car ROARRSSS and pulls sooo much harder got few bolts on in my car easily beat my brothers 07 mustang GT
Anyhow for $100 i think muffler delete sounds better than some aftermarket exhausts to be honest

I'm not calling you out i just don't understand how you can take it off and not get rasp.
When you do a muffler delete it makes your infiniti sound like V8. Long story short I've owned 4 G coupesOn my 1st one it was a 2005 stick shift and I did test pipes non resonated change the y pipe and put a stillen exhaust. It was extremely loud And raspy I think the test pipes are what caused the rasp
