so today i finally started up my g after like 2 months of sitting, reason being i needed a clutch so i finally got the clutch ordered should be here next wens day. exedy clutch & flywheel. wasn't in a rush to fix it because i have another car but i sold it. so anyways i went to start my g and it when it turned over it was real rough as if it was missing and had knocking noise. so after letting it idle a bit it calmed down and started to idle ok, but when i revved it when around 3k and it when the rpms drop it turns off?? could it be because of the fuel sitting? don't know why but any suggestions could help. I'm letting the car just sit and idle right now.

 

Bad fuel or water due to condensation would be my first guess. How much fuel did you have in the tank when it sat? If your tank was low, condensation could have accumulated. Was it running good before you parked it? I would not hesitate to add one bottle of water removal fuel additive and fill it up with fresh Premium gas and run it until the new fuel runs through the entire system.
