Z-Tube w/ K&N drop in filter combo or 5/16 plenum spacer?

Hey I have a 2006 M/T Coupe. I've heard mixed reviews that the Z-tube can lose power and some that say it gains power. Also The plenum spacer is supposedly the best bang for your buck, I'm just trying to add some more hp to my G and don't know which one to choose.

Spacer won't work because you have a revup. But a lower plenum from a non RevUp will give you serious gains.
Also z tube with a KN will be a great increase.

^ that is not correct. For revups, The spacer will give you gains (I recommend the 5/16s). And more so when combined with an MREV2 manifold.

The spacer will give you baby gains.
It will only truly unlock the full potential with a mrev 2. So for the money just buy a used non revup lower plenum

half correct. spacer alone on a revup is not even worth installing it. The old dyno charts from threads of yester-year show that

also half correct.
A lower plenum from a non revup will for sure yield more than a revup with spacer but not "serious gains"
Also a z tube will never ever EVER be a great increase.

op here's the deal
You have a revup
You want the MD spacer AND mrev2
Like wise a z tube paired with your revup box and a drop in of your choice is gonna be the best bet intake wise.
Add high flow cats or ART pipes and an exhaust and tune and you should be happy...well happier

It's the engine on the 2005-2007 G35 Coupe. 6 speed manual transmission only.

It's an aftermarket lower plenum manifold. See here http://www.motordyneengineering.com/...products_id=47

debatable really. Maybe 1-2hp gain at most. Your biggest hp gain will most likely come from your exhaust+ HFC/art pipe+ tune combo Keep in mind though that combo buying everything new could set you back over $3k Best is to look used both on here and Craigslist/FB as those parts are very much reusable even used.

If I could do it all over again I woulda jumped straight to wheels and bought a set of work/volks first lol

Its really not debateable actually because there's proof from Nissan. Literal HP numbers for the G were 282hp in 03/4 models. The HP in a 350Z of the same year? 287. The only difference? The intake tube.

Anyone who thinks that they'll be seeing serious gains without FI or at least a tune accompanying their mods is retarded.

Jersey, have you done a tune? I think I'm at that point and I wanna go with Seymour's services.
