How to get up to speed quicker?

Hey guys, so I've pretty much gotten the hang of shifting now, I just need to work on getting consistently smooth shifts. My question is, how can I launch the car a little bit faster off the line? Before anyone says anything, I'm not trying to race anyone, it's just that I've noticed that when I'm getting started in first gear, I'm always pretty slow in accelerating, to the point where I consistently notice people riding my ***. Right now, my technique is to rev it up to around 1500, then let the clutch out slowly until I can let it out all the way. This usually results in me being on the clutch for 2-3 seconds at the bite point though. Is this just an issue of letting the clutch out faster? Because when I try doing that, it feels the the car is going to buck. How should I go about speeding up my normal first gear launches?

I'd raise the RPM's a bit and keep the same clutch engagement speed going. The G is my first MT so it took a bit of getting use to and I feel you on the annoyance of people being in a rush and riding your butt... damn autos! But as you probably know 2nd gear comes pretty quickly so when you're trying to launch as quickly as the automatic folks you gotta be switching to 2nd pretty quickly.
