Front license plate Question ???

Alright guys , so upon buying this car , i totally forgot about checking the license plate bracket.

Heres what it looks like right now , i also bought the g35 license plate bracket.

The holes are not even close to fitting the actual license plate. Im assuming the previous driver had a universal mount.

My question is , do i need to buy a universal mount , any alternatives ?

If you're running a stock bumper just screw into the bumper. Thats what I did. I'm getting a new kuruma z or nismo bumper this year so it didn't matter to me plus it doesn't look bad.

After my 3rd ticket, I went ahead and just screwed the plate into the bumper. If you wanted to, you could remove the little square and a factory plate holder can be installed there. Honestly, not worth the money.

Front License Plate...what's that? LMAO

You have several choices, do what Brooks suggested and screw the plate into the bumper or visit a few auto parts stores and find a bracket that matches the holes in your bumper. If you must run a front plate that's what I'd do...Gary

Just remove the tow hook cover and use this:

There's a DIY on here somewhere if you really need it.

When I bought my AWD, it had a nasty black bracket with dealer advertising plate (no front plate required in NC). It had been screwed in to the bumper, so simply removing it was not an option. The tow hook cover underneath was also missing. After my passenger rear quarter and wheel well got creased while parked in front of house by a workman's panel truck pulling in too tight to the house two doors down, it was in the shop anyway. So I had them remove the bracket, fill the holes (including tow hook), and repaint since they had the paint match anyway. I must say I like the look a lot with the three hole AWD bumper: clean and just a little mean. So glad to be rid of it. I've been lax in posting pics anyway. I need to get that done. When it's clean, I'm busy. When I'm not busy, it's dirty, rainy, or nighttime. Sigh.

If i were you, I would get the Stillen plate holder and then seal the existing holes with bumper plugs.

Yep, this is what I do in order to pass inspection when I get a no front plate ticket.
