Oh man... Not another oil question....

I apologize, I tried to use the search, but couldn't find what I was looking for after a few pages of results.

I've had my g35 since October, and I've put about 4k miles on it. I'm not sure what kind of oil was in it from the dealer I purchased it from, so I'm thinking of doing an oil change here really soon (like this Thursday when I have the day off).

My previous high end cars were all 4cyl turbo's so they required synthetic oil, but from what I've read, the G35 does not REQUIRE synthetic oil?

Also my engine has a lot of miles, 160k to be exact, is there a specific weight people run with higher mileage engines??

No Nissan doesn't require using quality synthetic fluids but then no one requires you take a shower once in a while, it's just a good It's also a good idea to use quality filters like WIX since you're going 4K mile between changes...Gary

Dino oil is just as good if not better than synthetic in some applications. My next change will be dino oil as my car is starting to use a bit of oil. 127K miles

Not only is it not necessary, but Nissan actually recommends mineral oil for the VQ.
