Baby had a bad day:(

hey guys i know most of u havent seen me for a day but baby had a bad day on Nov 01 2014 Well when i went on vac to Fl a piece of retread hit bady on the middle of the bumber and tore the bumber and radiator support off. so it cracked the bootom vends on the radaitor now for the bad news some how when it was sitting in FL for weeks waiting on USAA to pay the tow and storage so i can pick up my car, i got it back to NCand was lookin at it the engine wont turn and worn turn by the crank case was turn in FL day after the hit. Now hears the kicker USAA saids it total with 10K of damage but had a body shop i trust here said for 6700 without full paint job 8700 with so now it not total cuase it under the 80% of 12K but have to wait for the review board to approve the new findings
OK thats enough of the back drop i found a completly rebuild engine all new parts polish like new for 2100 plus 395 core from AAA Engine Warehouse Chatsworth, California i need input for a very good not insane radiator that better the that plastic OEM one the bodyshop got the rest cover. thanks for any input

Going for N/A or FI? And I don't understand how they figure thats going to cost $10K to repair, even $8K seems ridiculously high.

She's alive!!!!

Hello everyone been awhile since my last post on baby sorry their was alot of delays in shipping and unexpected repairs too Dam A/C High line lol But the good news is that the heart of baby is in and everything is connested and filled. So after the A/C delay we was ready to fire her up, so turned the key and what u know she fired on the first couple turns dam im good lol. After tighting the P/S bango bolt (leaking) and purging air from the coolant. found out she got a bad cam sensor on bank 1 so got both on order from rockauto for $80. Well heres some pics of baby
Luv that top

You ran over retread on the highway and screwed up the front bumper and radiator, and somehow managed to get insurance to buy you a new motor while you're at it? Holy crap... you should be a lawyer. LOL.

Nice job on the swindling.

How's the rebuilt motor seem so far?

Actually insurance gave him 11.5k to buy a new car AND let him keep his old car.
Thats insane! Only thing crazier is NOT seeing a turbo or super charger in that engine bay

well he says the motor wouldnt turn over, so I'm thinking radiator leaked out, overheated engine and seized it, but that was never mentioned to insurance company. as far as anyone knows it ran fine until USAA picked it up then it didnt run. Basically he just got really lucky in a bad situation. Dude shulda bought a lottery ticket the day he found out the insurance was buying him a new car and letting him keep his old one lol

well if i had anouther 7K i would have put a tubo kit too so i went the route of making the engine stonger with forge up internals. but it took me 7 months (from nov 2014 to may 2015) of having the car relooked at and talking to USAA to get what i got. But still they total the car under value At least i can apply for a clean title when she road ready tho.
