Here's my delima
Bought a new stereo system for my coupe. Got a 5 channel amp, 6x9 rear speakers, 6 1/2 fronts with the separate 1 inch tweeter and cross over, license plate bracket with backup camera and parking sensor built in, steering wheel control, pioneer double din unit, JDM double din kit with AC controls, and monster cable speaker wire. Install shop needs 2 days and $1300.00. Is this a reasonable quote or should I look elsewhere. I'd really the whrathernut to do the install but, not sure about his schedule. Please help insight needed.

I did my stereo install, which was a new head unit plus the JDM trim, steering wheel control, amp, all the speakers and all new wiring, including a few other electronic gadgets. Took me about 6 hours.....So, not sure why the need two full days. Take it to another shop or do it yourself. Not that hard. Although, you do have to remove some interior pieces.

I consider myself far from knowledgable when it comes to audio systems and I was able to do everything you mentioned with the help of this forum. Just figure out every step and then find the how tos on here. Make sure you have a solder iron (especially if you have dual climate and want to switch that over to the JDM AC controller) and some patience. All it really is is matching wires to wires and possibly some drilling. You can get it done on a Saturday or definitely a weekend

Thats an outrageous price. I didn't install speakers but I did have a double din installed and that only cost me $120. Reverse camera i did myself as all I had to do was run wires and plug them into the back of the radio. Radio install took around 4 hours for one guy to do. The reverse camera took me 30 minutes (I did this before he put the dash back together so i could plug it into it). I did help with the double din install so that might have been why he charged me so little, but regardless, more than $1000 for an install seems outrageous.
