Z tube is the tube going from the throttle body to the air intake. A pop charger eliminates our air intake setup and isn't really worth it. However the z tube is a must to get

Pop charger has an amazing sound though. But is prone to heatsoak.
I have the Z-tube and am completely satisfied with it. It gives a more aggressive growl to the engine. As far as gains go, never felt anything, probably isn't anything.

Gains are Minimum with either set up. Heatsoak is gone happen with any setup that has the filter just a hanging in the engine bay. Most members run the ztube with the stock air box or the reved up air box. I myself choose a pop charger and a ztube combo. I also made my own heat shield

The Z-tube is just that, the intake from the TB to the intake plenum. It is straight without the sound dampeners of the Infiniti intake. Both work fine.

Neither one is really good. OEM box is the best thing for the cars

Note this tho OP (correct me if I'm wrong guys) the ztube reuses the MAF sensor houseing and a CAI you'll have to remove the MAF sensor from the houseing and place it into the CAI tube

Agree, I wasted a lot of money changing from OEM, to Z-tube, to NISMO intake.

All the claims that magazines have made since '03 were not true about intakes for our coupes and sedans...they offer zero increase in WHP. The Z-Tube does change the sound which most of us enjoy...I'm sure not everyone! My opinion the best way to go is with a z-tube and a drop in filter like AMSOIL or K&N!

the best way to go is to upgrade the throttle body and get a larger diameter intake tube.

No long tube cai intakes they make the G idle funny and die while decelerating. So now I have half my injen cai with a bigger filter lol and it reuses the oem maf housing and it's chrome 😎
