Radio draining my battery!! G35 coupe

2006 G35 Coupe 6MT

I'm having this weird problem were I just replaced my old battery with a brand new one and than a couple days later I go to start my car and it's dead. Come to find out my radio was staying on when I turned the car off so I pulled the radio fuse and it stopped dying on me so my question is how do i repair this issue?? I can't use my heat or ac because I pulled the radio fuse and it controls all of that and my radio CD player wasn't working before that so could that cause the problem. Really don't want to put a aftermarket radio in it so hopefully there is a solution for this thank you!

Unfortunately this is a common problem in our cars. One solution would be to wire in a switch to the radio fuse that you can turn on/off on command whenever you leave your car off for a few days, but this is tedious and impractical (but works). Most opt to upgrade to an aftermarket head unit (be prepared to spend $$$). I upgraded to a fully loaded double-din head unit and bought the JDM double din kit, and while it did run me nearly $1000 for everything, it was well worth it.

There is no need to spend $1000 for a new head unit and dash kit. The metra one works fine and a there are plenty of head units out there to choose from that are affordable. Don't scare this man. Replacement can be affordable.

So I can't replace it with a stock radio only aftermarket? And I've been looking at dash kits and the jdm dash kit is expensive compared to the metra dash kit I'm wondering the quality and how long the metra dash kit will last me

I didn't say he had to spend $1000, I just chose to spend that much to buy a high-end head unit and chose to dish out extra for the OEM JDM kit (just because I think the Metra kit looks like garbage). Yes, the Metra kit works fine. But IMO it just doesn't flow with the rest of the interior. However much you are willing to spend is going to dictate what kind of head unit you buy and whether you get Metra or JDM.

The stock radio itself is the problem I believe, so if you swap it out with another factory head unit you won't solve the problem.

Isn't the JDM unit massively expensive? Any idea on the general price range for one nowadays or how to go about getting that?

OC Infiniti sells them, they have a thread in the vendors forums. I bought mine from them for $300 plus shipping for the dual version.
