How many of you with lowered cars take OFF the undertray / splash shield?
So recently I must have scraped too hard coming off a driveway, and finally ripped up my undertray / splash /undershroud shield. So now its hanging down like an open mouth under the front bumper. I duct taped it up for now.
I called the place that does the work on my can generally, and they mentioned:
"i mean, some people especially in So Cal where it doesn't rain much, just take it off completely."
Do any of you just take it off? Or do you always want it under there and I should just get it replaced?
thanks,
x Chris x

Not a new issue, it's been discussed before!
Some members have taken their splash shields off, those don't realize Nissan installed it for a reason! It keep garbage/dirt/trash from getting into your engine compartment so your sensors/belts will last longer! Replacing anything on our cars isn't cheap! Buy new hardware, drill new holes if needed or buy a new one to keep everything clean under hood...Gary

lol just remove it.
ive had mine off since the first week i had it. and i get plenty of rain, and i have a 1/4 mile rock driveway that produces tons of dust and mud when it rains. take it through a car wash every once in a while.
its not a glass car haha, and im honestly laughing at the people that think the car will break with out it.
this is also coming from 10+ years in the automotive industry, drag racing, drifting, road racing, off road pre running, rock crawls, trail rides, ect. my truck has no sort of under tray at all and has the complete lower end of the motor submerged in water. and it still runs.
remove your under tray and never look back, makes oil changes a hell of a lot easier too.
