repalcing ABS

i know nothing about how the ABS operates or consist of, i was told its 2 parts, ABS module and the ABS pump.

there was a burnt smell coming from the abs under the hood, it would make buzzing noise even when the car is off. i disconnected the abs and of course the 3 lights, vdc slip and abs are on dash.

i plan to sell the car so i need to fix this, how can i find out if its my ABS pump or module that is faulty so i can replace it, or both need to be replaced ?

i plan to buy a used part of ebay and put it myself if its not hard, is there a guide ? will any G35 abs fit any other g35 abs ?

If your going to sell the car, don't bother replacing it. umless your selling it to a private party then your F*cked. I don't know the cost of this for the G35 but for the Acura, with the discount I got was $1k. I would go to the dealers and find out the real problem before you do anything

no he's saying goto the dealer and have them do the diagnosis... not perform the work and provide parts ...

you get the diagnosis from the dealer .. normally like 80$ or so .. and on that piece of paper it'll tell you exactly what part is broken, and the replacement part needed ..

he's saying get the dealer techs to diagnose which part is bad. - i have to drive this point home due to the confusion im witnessing
