Is there a way to add an audio kit to a 2005 G35 coupe with no SAT?
Hello everyone, I just got a 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe. I am very excited about being a part of the community and to own the awesome car I have.
I need some help though. My G35 didn't come equipped with the SAT/CAT button. I want to add Bluetooth/auxiliary functionality to the car. I was going to buy a new radio, but I love the look of the stock radio. Is there any way to add a grom kit or something like that to the stock radio that has no SAT button? Thanks in advance

The 2005-2007 models don't have a SAT button. That's a 2003-2004 thing.
The way you access SAT on the 2005+ models (if you have it) is to hit the radio button. It will cycle through it if yo uhave it (AM, FM1, FM2, CD, SAT).
The cable to connect the OEM sat box (or ipod system) is in the trunk of the G35. Keep in mind however, it's an OEM style connector, so chances of getting an aftermarket Bluetooth setup are not great.

I would recommend a DD kit. I needed a new HVAC controller as mine went out, was quoted like 800 or something to have it done. Something super high, so I bought a SonyXAV-601BT; which was a discontinued head unit. But I went to the local car toys and played around with most of them. Not only did it end up being cheapest head unit there for the features, but it had a coherent layout for the touch screen, and wasn't confusing to get features to work. Most other brands had crappy user interface, and to change certain features was like trying to build an IKEA Desk with mandarin instructions only. Pretty useless. And everyone whos gotten in my car likes the head unit, says it looks classy. Out the door with install was a little over what I would have paid for just to get the hvac controller changed out only. My car already had bluetooth, but the kit came with a mic, so they just installed it anyways. Wonder what became of my OEM mic in the ceiling?
