Suspension Help - OEM Sports on Tokicos

Hey guys,

I need some help from my fellow G35ers.

Last summer I swapped my suspension out for Tokiko Blues and the OEM Sport Springs. My rear subframe was cracked and I just had it swapped out. My mechanic advised that the part was the exact one, perfect fit.

After the replacement of the subframe my rear suspension is jacked inches higher than previously. It may have been sagging previously due to the cracked subframe but this height is unreal, I think its even higher than OEM...but I have no idea, my car has never had OEM suspension before and judging by pics online, oem should sit a little lower.

Can someone tell me if the front or back looks off sitting on OEM Sport Springs?

The front looks OEM but the back doesn't, maybe I have the wrong springs, maybe the guy installed something wrong, no clue...looking for some insight.

See attached.

Thanks everyone.

Your coupe does sit very high out back! Take it back to the mechanic that worked on your subframe, ask him if there isn't something wrong? You could lower it by a inch if you cut down the rear spring mounts by that much, however you need almost three times that amount to make it look right...take it back!

I thought so! I already did take it back, he said there's nothing he can do, everything bolted up perfect as it was previously

It needs an alignment bad right now, both wheels are way off...I'll have the alignment guys take a good hard look at it tomorrow.

The wheelwell gap is approx 1.75 Front and 3.5 Rear.

Thanks!

Dude something isn't right.. Tell the mechanic you want it fix... The car should be the same height as when you first brought it in...

I just did a full alignment on the car..it runs perfect and the height for some reason went down a bit but it's not as low as before. The alignment guy inspected everything and nothing is wrong. It may have been lower prior to the rear subframe being replaced bc it was cracked right through on the one side so it could have been dipping all along.

The OEM springs I bought are lemons. I'm not sure if the guy painted them but they're black and I'm starting to see red peels and chips in them. I need to rip them out. All 4 corners are off...we took measurements while it was on the machine in the alignment shop from the ground to fenders.

Rear Right - 28 3/8
Rear Left - 28 1/4
Front Right - 27 3/8
Front Left - 26 3/4

I need to start reading some threads now on what springs I need. I want the front drop to stay the same and match it perfectly in the rear (1.5-1.7" gap between the tire and fender).
