Welcome to Nissan's information center aka G35 Driver! If you have a '03 thru '07 G35 the best bang for your $$ is Motordynes plenum spacer! Your CAI depending on which one it is could be costing you major WHP! If it's made of metal and or has an exposed filter hot weather will not allow you to pass VW bus! The cause is "Heat Soak" where the incoming air is heated by under hood temps. The major restriction in your exhaust system are those OE converters! Replace them with HFCs (high flow cats) which in most states are legal and you'll gain 7+ WHP. Again, "Welcome to Driver" and Enjoy the Ride...Gary

Honestly, unless you go force induction, you are going to spend a lot of money to get minimal HP gains naturally aspirated. The VQ is just a highly engineered engine already and it's tough to squeeze out some more power. The plenum spacer is a proven mod though as the front two cylinders tend to starve for air and the spacer helps alleviate that design flaw.

Forced Induction on a G that's 10 years old or so?

Some what true ^ but what mods we can make on the breather side followed by an Osiris tune are gains of 25 to 30 WHP that can be felt and enjoyed! The cost of going FI on a 10 year old G would require a rebuild to begin plus the FI unit would be more than what our cars sell for today!

Some what true ^ But spacer, intake, art pipes, exhaust, and tune will easily run about 2k+.. for 25 hp. Money probably better spent for a quality used set of forged wheels.

NA gains on the G35 is a pointless waste of money. FI will always best best bang/buck and only really noticable power gains, especially on an over weight outdated platform like the G35.

True, however PaniaguaG35 wants to feel a little HP increase in the seat of his pants and he's on a budget. Just the spacer alone will allow that butt dyno feel, it worked for most of us!

I could be wrong but he has a 2007 G35. Plenum spacer will not work on his car. Exhaust will be good for you. HFC/TP will be your biggest gain. When I had the fast intention HFC the before and after dyno was a gain of 16WRHP on my G. You can free up HP by getting a light weight pulley and a carbon fiber drive shaft if you have the money. Need to save up for that drive shaft. If you have an AT, the transgo kit is good for you.
