Camshaft sensor Code P0340 Again!

I replaced both camshaft sensors in February of last year (2/14) and I am now getting the same issues as before the replacement(code Code P0340). I replaced them with OEM parts and have not had any issues since. How often do these sensors go out? I am wondering if this may be happening because of a bigger issue. I have searched the forum but cannot find anything saying that people have had to replace these more than once.

Thanks for your help

Check your wiring, and then the plugs themselves on the outside as they may have been damaged at reinstallation!

It's possible your crankshaft sensor went out. It will also throw that code. And please if you replace it buy OEM again. You did well with the cam sensors.
