Window motor giving me a hard time

Ok so my passenger window stopped rolling down about a week ago. At first I thought it was the motor so I ordered one from Amazon. Got the motor, followed all the steps to remove the door panel, and plugged it in. As far as I know, the motor should work as soon as you plug it in (correct me if I'm wrong)... It didn't. I bought another one from autozone and it didn't work. At this point, all I'm worried about is to get that window up again so that I can leave it outside and then fix whatever it is that is not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is a 05 g35 coupe btw.

Thank you guys

did u do the reset procedure? it could also be that you have a dead window switch.. also check window regulator

I did try the reset procedure but it didn't work. Probably I did it wrong.... I'll try again tomorrow. I also tried the bang method with no luck

Don't attach the motor to the door and press the switch. If it spins then odds are you need a new window regulator.

You might be able to push it up by hand if you have the inner panel off.

Might be your regulator, I'd check that along with your actual window switch. maybe something isn't working there. But if I had to guess with the cars age, it's probably the regulator

Window motor giving me a hard time

The motor powers a set of pulleys that raises and lowers the window
