why does my car keeping going into limp mode every few days?

I'll be driving my car and I notice the RPM drop a litle when the car is in idle. Then it just dies and goes into limp mode while I'm driving. When I unplug the MAF & plug it back it, it runs fine for a few days before it happens again. I've already cleaned the MAF, got a new filter, changed the spark plugs, & got a new O2 sensor. Can anyone help!?

Does your CEL light come on when it does this?

Maybe order a cheap Bluetooth OBD-II Reader off eBay and use your phone to troubleshoot with an app like Torque.... assuming you have an android device.

It should throw a code if it's in limp mode. How long have you had your car? I've seen shady used car dealers physically crush the CEL bulb so it can't come on in order to sell a car before without fixing an expensive problem
