Knock sensor and oil consumption related?

Hey guys, have noticed increased oil consumption with my 2004 G35 coupe 5AT recently (1 quart every 1000 miles). Decided to check for ghost codes and got a p0327 knock sensor code.

Are these two related at all? Is the oil consumption causing the knock sensor code? Or has the sensor/harness itself failed?

What's weird is that I haven't noticed any loss of power. Additionally, my gas mileage has improved from 20 to 25 mpg. Any help is appreciated!
