Window Probelm

Hey guys, I just recently bought an 06 G35 and the window started to act up as soon as i drove it home and parked it in my driveway. The window wont go up or down unless i slam the door shut a few times. And when it does go down it will go halfway and stop. Then i have to slam the door a bunch of times until it goes back up. But when the window motor does actually move it moves at a normal pace. Is it the window motor or the switch that is the problem!?!?!?! HELP

Read the service manual http://psedog.com/cars/fsm/g35/

You need to reset the window motor. A negative of having automatic raising windows.

Welcome to G35 coupe ownership. I just had to replace both the window motors at 36k miles on the odo. Rock auto has a great price on them. It's not a bad install. Search the forum for a DIY.

Before you go replacing the motor, take the stock one out, remove the main shaft drive and clean out the carbon buildup in there, grease the end of it and reassemble. I did that on my driver's side window motor when it stopped working 4 years ago and it has worked perfectly since then.

Have a driver's window doing the same thing. Motor will work, then it won't. Anti-pinch doesn't work half the time either.

Glad to hear there's an easy fix. Almost ever day I angle the window up for style and the airflow when me or a friend is smoking. The other day I accidentally opened it all the way and it took like 5 minutes to close. It would reach a certain point and then open back up. What was weird was that it slowly got closer and closer to finally closing. I dread the day one of the driver or passenger side window motors goes...great I probably just jynxed myself lmao
