Engine swap question!
Hello, im new to the g35 scene. i picked up a 2005 G35 coupe 6 speed over the weekend with a rodnock that i am going to swap the engine on. I did find a engine that came off of a same year and model RWD g35 but sedan automatic. now is the engine direct swap or the wiring also need to be swapped out? and anything else to replace while at it?

i literally just asked this kind of question like 2 weeks ago and i got no help lol but i figured i share my knowledge with you from what i learned from a bunch of forum searches. but anywho ..
mine was a bit different. my car is a 04 coupe 6mt and i got an 04 sedan automatic engine. mine for sure was a non rev up. if you dont know the diffrence looke behind the head toward the firewall and look at the cam position sensor. non rev up have 1 on each side and rev ups have 2 on each side (total of 4 on both heads) now that thats out the way you will need to change out somethings. fuel rail with injectors from your old motor. also you are going to want to switch your knock sensor located under the complete manifold. be super careful removal. That stupid sensor is super brittle. both of mine broke into peices and i had to hard wire and tape the crap out of it so heads up. after that just make sure your o2 sensors match up and everything else is plug and play. theres a bunch of sensors behind the motor so make sure u get all of them b4 you start to crank the engine.
GOOD LUCK let me know if you have any questions

also the original flywheel on the automatic engine leave behind this like adapter plate. MAN that this is annoying to get out. only way i was able to get it out is to weld a nut around the hole small enough to fit a nice long bolt into and impact the bolt str8 out. if the weld breaks keep on trying untill that adapter comes out cause you wont be able to fit your new pilot bearing on
