how far away does the key fob reach
when locking and unlocking the car it can be done pretty far. but for the windows down feature that doesnt reach as far.
does anyone know how far does the option go? is there supposed to be a difference in the distance for both?

Yeah I noticed this too. I think there is a different even between the door lock and unlock distance. I tried it once . Went far and it was still able to lock the door but it was not able to unlock it. I don't know if you want to try yours suby. Let me know if you tried it.

I think the windows feature is only 15ft. Safety feature. You don't want to accidentally unlock or roll down your windows when you're out of sight.

I think they are the same distance but the windows down feature requires a much longer signal. The signal to unlock is ust a short burst whereas the windows require a constant input to get them going and keep them going. Thus, as the signal weakens and gets spotty the further away you are, the more likely it is to lose the signal and stop (or never get started).
