Girlfriend/intake help...
so my gf got me the stillen dual intake for xmas, and i am not satisfied with it. I want to get somthing else, with my own money of course, but how should i explain to her that i "dont want" her generous gift? lol, pretty rediculous self help question i know, but just give me some REAL advice? thanks

does she know anything about cars? and how often does she look under your hood? if the answer to these questions are no and not often i would say do a swap when she isn't around and never mention it again........

well she didnt before, but she did her intake research when she got them, and she was there when i was putting them in, watching. And as far as under the hood, shes there when i clean them, or do an oil change. Believe me, this option has crossed my mind more than once, and if it comes down to it, then ill have to be sneaky...

What do you want instead? Another intake? (if so, get ready for extreme disappointment when the new intake performs exactly the same).

Just tell her a newer/better intake just came out and you are going to sell the one she got you.
Or just put it on and be happy you dont have to deal with bitching lol

what ever you do, just don't lie... you'll end up getting in more trouble later. Tell her the truth, that you're happy with her gift, but it's not helping the car any so you want to switch

Tell the truth. Even if she won't be happy. The only way the good marriage works if both party honest. Just tell her how much you appriciate her generousity and you really love that. But you were thinking to swap because..bla bla bla..... Ask her if she is ok with it. Because you don't want to hurt her feelings. See what she is thinking about it. She would understand I am sure. Make sure you tell her how much you love her for understanding the situation.
She is helping you with it because she loves you and want to see you happy. tg
