Some are good, some are bad. As for coupe springs, it's really not worth the effort for a 1/2inch drop. You're much better off with Z springs (at least on the front)

If you drop it on stock struts (even coupe ones) they'll go out fairly quickly. Our OEM shocks/struts don't lend well to being low.

When it's all said and done, coilovers are really the best answer.

hi, im not to familiar how to use this website, but i had a question, i have a 4 door 1st gen 03 g35 sedan, and i live in toronto,so the other day i went to hamilton (about an hour away) and i popped a tire, (rear passenger) (i didnt have spare in trunk) and luckily some random guy pulled me over and told me he had a shop and my size rim, he changed it and evrythin went well BUT now, the slip light comes on almost ALL the time, and when i was driving home and accelerating, it felt like something was restricting me from drving fast, unless i take my foot off the accelerator and put it back and at the same time the slip light kept flashing frequently. and at times it would jus start slowing down by itself, EVEN if i was still holding the gas, or flooring it. sometimes the rpm went up but not the speed. I was wondering can something like this happen if maybe that tire i chagned was a little different in size ? or what can it be >?
thanks

Doesn't sound like he put on the same size tire on the back.

If the two tires on the back are different size, they are turning at two different speeds. The VDC perceives that as a "slip" and reduces engine speed..

I can think of no time except when drag racing of stuck in the mud, that I would turn it off.

Smile 03-04 G35 SedanRWD/AT.Sport Package question

Hey guys I got an 04 G35 RWD with the sport package, my only question is does anyone know the manufacturer of the red struts and springs? I dont know what brand Nissan/Infiniti uses for their sport suspension components but its a thing i would like to know. One last thing I want to lower my car a little bit, but i upgraded my tires to a wider rating 225/55R17 opposed to the 215/45R17's that come with the sport package. Would tire size affect clearance if i lowered 1"? Thanks guys. G Riders 4 EVA!!

heres a pic of my setup, Just put in brand new HAWK HPS pads, and Centric Plain 120 rotors all the way around!! Stops like a dime, Highly recommend this setup for sedan drivers. Enjoy!

I read on here somewhere that the 2nd gen 05/06 G35 Sedan circle rear tail light assembly fits in the 1st gen 03-04's. By the "Doggy door Trunk" do you mean the trunk handle bar thingy that i personally dont like? I think they would work on both gens. I have a 2004 sedan but i had bought it later in the year,so it was actually "03".5 they also got rid of the outer trunk handle that year and had the flush back trunk with electric trunk open, and couple new colors.. anyways they should fit just fine. Let me know the lowest u can find a pair, cause im looking to swap my grid taillights out too. I found some on Amazon for like $180 or so each side. Hope this helped
