P0345 Code, VDC, and SLIP lights on
Yes I looked this up and its the camshaft sensor, I'm taking my car to the shop on Tuesday morning. It first did this last Wednesday, after I was driving around on the Highway under some hard acceleration.
I took it Friday morning to the shop, but I didn't want them to have it all weekend (They wouldn't give me a loaner). My concern is. after talking to the Tech in the office, he said the code I gave him wasn't engine related so my warranty might not cover it. I just bought this car a month and a half ago, and it's randomly shutting off, how is that not an engine problem? Is there something I can go in there and say...because this is complete BS, if I have to come out of my pockets to pay for this, potentially they could have it for a few days if it's a more serious matter and they won't give me a loaner, when I just got the car. Worse come to worse I'll buy the sensor and do it myself.
I think it could be more serious only because I feel a slight jerk in the car, before the SLIP and VDC lights come on...they aren't always on. Usually turning it off and letting it sit for 30 seconds lets those lights go off.
Happy 4th everyone!

I had this same problem about 2 months ago.....I took my mechanic abt 1/2 an hour to fix it.....I had hard starting problems and my vdc, SES and slip light was on......It is located on the drivers side engine bay...You just have to take out a few things to get to it.....
The sensor itself has an angled position...Look it up on auto zone and you would see two different sensors...The one you need is the one that has an angled tip.. I bought it for $60... I also had my car turn off on me occasionally at stoplights....When i fixed the camshaft problem i disconnected my battery for about 6 hours for the ECU to reset and the problem was fixed...

im having the same issue. i was driving on the highway yesterday and all of a sudden i felt the car jerk a bit, but did not shutt off and continued drivng normally. the VDC off, SES, and SLIP lights all came on. Discount Auto gave me the same error code as above- P0345. i got home, turned the car off and had a hard start. when turning the car on this morning, it was fine except the SES light was the only one on. as im driving to work, the VCD and SLIP light came on. when getting to work, i turned the car off and tried turning it on again and had a hard start again...

same issues
I have a 2004 infiniti g35 sedan. I went to dealership cause engine light came on, they put it on machine and said it was ok. So i left and like a mike away light came on again, and on tge way back the car jerked and slip and vdc light came on. When they put it on the machine again they said it was showing cam shaft sensor. Then he saw i had a aftermarket radio in car and said it probably was a wire that was wasn't connected right.i had radio in car for at least 3 months, do you think that is problem or they just lying to me

If the consult really showed a code for the "cam shaft sensor" and the dealer is saying that that the radio could have something to do with it.
TAKE YOUR CAR AND RUN .........
Just buy the correct sensor and replace it.. These go bad in out cars.
Surprised it wasn't replaced (died) sooner as you said you drive a 2004.

Code p0345
Ok so I got the code p0345 and the slip and vcd lights came on in the car autozone and other car parts dealers wanted around $80 for each cam shaft sensor so I look on eBay found both for $17 brand new the description said for Infiniti Nissan from 03-08 I install them both then reset ECU and now no problem car runs great again.
