I know this is an old thread but when I swapped out the JDM base for my USDM base the mirrors won't fold in so I ended up putting the JDM ones back on. They weren't a direct swap and not all the screws would screw on. Anyone encounter this?

The base angles are different. If you really want the mirrors to fold in tight you will need to use jdm base on your driverside and I think usd base on pass side. Your driver mirror will be off b.c the angle of the base is smaller than the usd base. So theres a trade off. Either you want them tucked in or a normal mirror angle with it not tucked in so much.

Mirrors only move so much. Base angle is what gives you the effect. So decide what version is the best set up for you.

the coupe ones have the same exact bases, it is the actual arm of the mirror that is at a different angle, so for mine i had to fill in the stock base holes with jb weld and used a little card to made a wall and basically built an additional wall and drilled new holes to get them at the right angle. just a bit of info for anyone considering using the jdm coupe folding mirrors
