I`ve been doing some research but couldn`t find any current information. I have a 2004 G35x and the y-pipe is starting to rust out. I`ve been checking which y pipe will fit and found the M2, Megan racing and Bosal will fit on our cars. I`d like to know if any fellow members who have these brands have had any problems with the y pipes such as durability, rusting issues or noise issues. I live in the NorthEast and I use my car during the winters. I have already replaced my midpipe and muffler with Magnaflow. If any members have used these brands for some time and could post their experiences both pros and cons, that will be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

I have the Megan Y pipe on my 06 G35x and its a piece of s***! The flex area of the Y pipe rotted out and fell off. During the first rain the whole Y pipe rusted. Must not be coated or something. Very common with this Y pipe from reviews I've seen.

Its funny because i have the Megan OE-RS exhaust with this and that did not rust.

Oh and dont got with M2 Y pipe either. Its actually just even lower quality Megan racing rebranded crap.

 

Best bet would be to find a low-mileage HR Y-pipe off a later 350Z or 370Z - that style clears the transfer case on the X. I would rather run slightly-used OEM parts than a cheap aftermarket replacement.
