Homelink rear view mirror stopped working, working intermittently
I ran a search but didnt see anything that matched this, even though I suspect it is a halfway common issue.
My homelink rear view mirror is suddenly only working intermittently to open my garage. It works inside the garage with no problem, but outside, it is being very finicky. Sometimes it opens from outside with no issue, sometimes I have to sit there for 5-10 minutes and press it, press it and hold it, mash it and hold it. Press all three buttons. Press again. Just who knows what combination will do the trick or the length of time it wants to be held.
Do these things wear out over time, or does the code need to be reset? It worked for about 4 years until just this last week. Nothing has changed from the day I bought it to now.
What is the general consensus about the cause of this issue?
