Did Infiniti address the problem for 2006 models? When I rented one a month ago for a week, I specifically listened for creakes and rattles. I thought the car was very quiet.

I feel they addressed it a lot on the '05 as well, another reason I bought one.

I have an '06 sedan and have rattle problems. I have only had the car for a month. My problem areas are the passenger side front and rear door cards and the headliner. The headliner is rattling really bad. I will be taking it to the dealer after I return from my business trip. While I enjoy driving my car, I am extremely disappointed with the interior quality of my car.

My 05X loaner with 11K miles had deafening rattles from the console. If my car did that when I was looking to buy it, there's no way I'd go for it. Even with the stereo on "14", the constant rattles/squeaks were there. My 04.5 loaner though was far more solid. After having that car, I decidied there was hope to silence all the rattles

Shifter Plate

DaveB-
Awesome post! Glad to hear you were able to solve most of the squeeks and rattles. My noise seems to be the round shifter plate. Can you remove the shifter plate without removing the center console ?

Thanks!

Door panel

My rear door makes the horrible noise only when the window is up. Is it most likely the same problem?
Incredibly helpful post! Thanks

Try tapping the down window switch just enough that the window goes down like an 1/16" to 1/8". This may put enough torque on the window frame to silence the rattle.

What DaveB said will silence that annoying creeking/popping noise from the rear windows. Also, if you want a permanent fix, there is a TSB for replacement of the window regulator bolts. They are too long and need to be replaced with shorter ones, if you are still under warranty I would bring it to the dealer. I believe the TSB was for 2003-2005 models.

the back of the passanger seat moves so much that i pull the seat all the way up and have the back standing straight so it stops. But in regular reclined position it annoys me so bad that I SMACK THE **** OUT OF IT WIT THE BACK OF MY HAND WHILE IM DRIVING.

I'm with you guys. I have an 06 sedan, and the front doors and dash are a rattle fest. I also have some rattles that seem to come from either the headliner or the side pillars where the seatbelts are. I think once the weather gets warmer, I will try and tackle all of them. Its just so frustrating to have such a nice car with such a loud interior. I rode in a CR-V today that has lots of plastic and yet it was completely solid with no rattling at all. Just amazing that our cars have such poor interior construction.

I have one in this area, sounds almost like a ball bearing rolling around behind the clock. Is that the same thing? I'm very sure nothing has slipped down the defrost vents, btw. But now at least I know how to get in there for a look, and I plan to do that as soon as the weather improves. THANKS!!!

i have a 2006 sedan with door rattles.

TSP ITB02-021b is for 2003-2005 sedans and describes a fix for a rattle buzz or tick noise from the front door panel. I seem to have this issue in my 06 model. I've noticed that if I pull on the door while the car is moving, the tick sound goes away, but if I let go it returns. Will infiniti perform a TSB on a 06 that was created for 03-05?

I think I may also have the noise from rear door with window all the way up. I guess same situation applies since it is stated to be for 2003-2005 sedans.
