noise from glove box

I would like to say thank-you for all the great posts on this site. It really helped me make my decision to purchase my G35. I bought the car about 3 weeks ago after backing out of a down payment on an A4 3.0. Just recently, I noticed a squeaking noise coming from what appears to be the upper glove box. I do not have the navigation system so I do have that glove box. If I put my hand on it while going over bumpy roads, it stops. Has anyone else had this problem or info on how to fix it. I usually have my radio up so I don't hear it all the time but when someone else is with me, it is very annoying.

Thanks

Re: noise from glove box

I would lightly spray some silicone on the hinges and rubber stops. See if that helps.
Welcome to our little "family" of "G" owners.

Re: noise from glove box

I had a similar problem. I took my car to my local dealer and the technician installed some urethane pads. I no longer have the squeaking noise problem. Hope this helps.
