Like many folks said here, I agree the sport seat is too narrow. The left thigh support gets wrinkled up... trying hard not to 'sit' on it. Thigh extension pad is filmsy and not powered. Overall firmness is good, I don't like soft seats.

The upper back area could be thicker. Overall I rate it 7/10.

My Sport Seat is getting worst

The sport seat feels great. It just that after only 500KM the left thigh support is getting wrinkled up with small cracks. I was trying to be careful when getting in and out of the car, but during a snow storm, there nothing much you can do but to get in and drive. I can post some pictures if anyone have the same problem.

Just picked up a '08g35xS and I'm very disappointed with the seats. After driving a couple hrs. my left leg soars up. I've played around with the settings but still can't get a comfortable setup. I'm 5'10'' 155lbs. At this point I prefer my WRX seats but I love everything else about the car!

I really didn't like the sport seats.

I was originally looking at getting the 08G35S, so that I could get the LSD. After comparing the two seats by going back and forth between the two, I just couldn't hang with the S. I tried deflating it all the way and it still didn't work for me. I am 5'9" and 185lb. My problem is probably that I ride bicycles a lot, so my legs are really built up in the thigh area.

I ended up going with the 08G35X. I figured if I couldn't have the LSD, I wanted the AWD.

Try moving the steering wheel all the way toward you, then slide the seat back to be comfortable with the new wheel position. This will straighten out your legs and get your thighs off the supports. YMMV but it works well for me and I've got a little more to support than 155 pounds!

anyone have a sport seat picture VS a non-sport seat.

i'm interested in getting a sedan, seems like all the upgrades the sports has, i'm going to update on my own anyways, liike coils and sways. paddles looks like i can mod that myself so its down to seats, obviously going to cost me more to buy/find 2 sport seats to put in a normal sedan.

would this be kinda like coupe and sedan seats in the 1st gen g35's

I didn't get the S model based on the seats after driving a friends S that had them. They pinched my legs too tightly (that isn't a big surprise since I'm 6'7" 230lbs). However, the regular seats are very comfortable for me.

I do wish I had his nice S brakes though!! They held up much better when we raced each other on an 1/8th mile track with a tight turn-off at the end. Mine faded badly.

have sports seat and love em, 6'2" 165lbs. Have the side supports fully loose most of the time, seat all the way back and fully lowered, steering wheel also all the way down and out towards me, and the thigh extension pulled out. I use the side support when i feel like taking some hard corners without slipping and i love it, have had no issues with it.

Cool

I love the back side bolsters but the seat hurts my thighs.

I just don't fit between the bolsters. Passenger seat feels great.

I'm pulling out the drivers seat next week and cutting off those metal side braces. Looks pretty simple.
