A/T grounding point?

I am thinking to add a ground cable to the automatic transmission but don't know where the best point to connect the A/T to the chassis. Anyone who has successfully done it, please share it here. Pictures would be helpful.

Thanks,

i have not done this, so obviously i don't have pictures, but i want to believe if you get underneath the car and pick any mounting bolt or location of an existing equipment ground that you should be ok.

this may be a good idea, i'd be curious to see if this helps anything. when i had my taurus SHO, adding a ground cable helped smooth out the overall operation but that could also have been the placebo effect.

^ judging from all the ppl who have posted a review of the grounding kits it seems as if it really helps a lot on the ATs, and as for the location you can just read on Black Bettys or other vendors DIY guide on myg37.com and that should tell you the exact point, but like remmy said using the existing point should be easy.

^ i think he includes it now or maybe its the other guy Sean... but that would be an important grounding point if you were to spend this much money on this kit

You dont need to add a cable to the trans, it is grounded by being bolted to the engine and the engine being grounded. Get the BB kit and install as directed, it works

Blue, I saw your picture all over already. lol

What I am asking for is the connecting point on the AT assembly and possibly the nearest grounding point to the chassis.
I already knew the grounding points on the engine bay and on the way ordering the custom cables.

On the pass side of the trans towards the front there is a bracket held on by 1 bolt. Remove the bolt and attach the wire there, then the wire runs up to the top back of the engine and attaches to the the back of the intake manifold in the same spot 2 other engine bay grounding wires are attached.

That is for the coupe btw. I don't know how differ the X is.

Installed a kit from SxExCx. Fairly straightforward, not too difficult. I dropped the AT ground down from the passenger side TB and attached to a bolt below the driveshaft. It looked like a solid connection. I used zip tie to metal tube/line in the picture foreground and at the top outboard of the TB to keep the wire away from the exhaust.

Thank you for your picture.

I used 2 4AWG cables for extra grounding. I installed one from the battery and the second from the engine block. Both ends are screwed on the grounding point below the factory information plate on the passenger side.
Results: noticeable smoother shifts and louder sound at the same volume. I guarantee this is not a placebo effect since my girl noticed this too.

There's no such thing as "extra" grounding, it's either properly grounded or it isn't, and one cable properly installed is sufficient. You don't need two.
