Talking DIY Replacing Steering Wheel Bezel v36

Hello G community I just got my car July 20th as a B-Day present and decided to already start modding it!

I tried looking up a DIY for this on both myg37 and this forum with no luck so I decided to make one.
Im pretty sure im not the only one with this problem.

Does your steering wheel look like this

Well I am going to show how to fix it

So tools you are going to need is a flat head, 9mm socket, 19mm socket, and a T30 torq bit.

Obviously the new Bezel which you can order basically any infiniti dealer or online. I got my mine from Circle Infinti ebay store for $26 shipped.

So lets get this started first most important step DISCONNECT the negative side BATTERY

after we move to the inside where you will remove two pop out circle clips on either side on the wheel

once you have done this gently remove the airbag and disconnect the orange and yellow clips with a small flat head

Size: 26.4 KB
then your air bag is off

Size: 29.5 KB
Next is removing the ground and control switches. Then you can remove the 19mm center nut and take your steering wheel off!

After you will see the back plastic is still it is 4 clips you can use a flat head to unclip and it comes of like this

Size: 32.5 KB
Then its about 8 screws holding the bezel

And your done just use some reverse steps and your new bezel is on

well i ordered the g37 bezel and it feels like they revised it from chipping away. I accidentally hit it with my flat head during installation and not even a scratch.

Since you went through all that "trouble" to replace a simple bezel, might as well get the paddle shifters installed. No guarantees if your car is pre-wired though.

EDIT: your car is a manual, my bad. If anyone is thinking of this and have an AT without sport package, then paddle shifters could be installed.

Very nice DIY. I hope it is as simple as you make it because my steering wheel looks like crap. I definitely need to either repaint or replace my bezel.

Let me be the dumb one to ask why do you have to take off the wheel to change out the bezel?
