First, I'm new to posting mostly lurked looking for information, which you guys have done plenty so thank you! Hate to revive a old thread but I have searched and searched and can't seem for the life of me to figure this out. What I am doing is relocating my main display unit from the og position to the cup holder location, and in its place I am putting a Nexus 7 with 4g lte in My 07 g35 sedan. After extending the wires, the display gets zero power and the a/c doesn't work or comes on randomly. I checked the fuses redid the wiring and still nothing I think what may be the issue is the wrong ground wires are connected but I am not sure. Any suggestions?

Interior conversion

[QUOTE=aktif8;6832410]many hours of wiring later - with one setback that had me up until 1am last night with the car totally fubar-ed - this is done!!

[ the a/c amp on top of the nav unit had a plug that wasn't seated properly. the gauges stopped working, and the car wouldn't turn off once started. SCARY. ]

this essentially completes my 2010 interior conversion, as i've done the door panels, full console, maple trim, and now the nav.

in a word: AWESOME.

streaming bluetooth is amazing. google play + pandora + sirius. worth the price of admission.

this updates the interior so much that I have zero impetus to get a new car. About all i have left now is FI... (once i get lowered in a few weeks, and get my new rims on, that is )

Anyway, since info on this is relatively hard to come by, I'll be happy to answer questions from anyone that is planning on doing this. (for the archives - don't hesitate to PM me if you find this post.)

my car: 08 with nav

new unit: 10 with nav, dash harness from a 2011 with nav for the connectors.

Fire any questions away - the existing threads out there are pretty vague.

HUGE thanks to stvsfx on myg37 for helping me out.

Hi,
so I have a 2007 infiniti g35x and i am trying to convert the interior with a 2010 g37. Did you swap the entire interor harness or how did you do it? I swapped the interior harness and i cant start the car.

Hiya - the 2010 interior harness is very different; my swap was predicated on using the existing harness in your car, but swapping out the connectors from a sacrificial 2010+ radio harness. As far as using the new harness in full - can't help you there, but i can only imagine it would take a massive amount of rewiring (and wouldn't give you any benefit that I can think of.)
