Filled the gas tank, read full. Parked it now reads empty & Service Engine Light on
Had to take a short road trip today, and needed to fill the gas tank (1/4 remained). Filled it up drive off with no issues and the Tank Gauge reading full. Drove approx three miles to the hotel, and when I went back out to the car and fired it up. The Fuel Tank Gauge now reads empty, and the Service Engine Light is On?
Any ideas?
I know the tank is full, and I'm about 3 hours from home?

Is it possible someone could have siphoned your tank while you were away?
Hard to say about the CEL, maybe they left the gas cap off?
It's all just wild speculation until you get the CEL code read from the diagnostic port. Find out that code number and report it back here (or google it yourself) and you should be able to get some better ideas.

Took it by the dealership yesterday and after a few hours of waiting they came back and said that I needed new fuel level sensors, and a new arm assembly.
Drove it home with no issues and I'm now waiting to get it to my local dealership, so they can look at it. They want me to wait a few days and then bring it in. They think the extreme cold weather had an impact and the computer is throwing an error.
Once the local dealership looks at it, I will post an update.

My gas gauge recently started acting up and my car was throwing codes due to the same reasons. I'd follow a DIY and clean the level sending units before doing anything yet. I need to get off my butt and post what I did tonight.
