Coupon Code for Navteq Map updates

I'm wanting to update the Navi maps on my 08 G35 and was wondering if there's a coupon code? From looking at previous threads it looks like maps have go on sale for $99 sometime in the spring. Anybody know when the next one will be?

The map itself is $99, you still need to pay for the labor to get it updated?

The map is currently $149 but I've seen from past threads that it goes on sale around this time of year for $99. I just want to make sure I don't miss it. Yes still have to pay the dealer to install it.

They typically go on sale just before they get updated. If the newest version is 2013, then expect a sale soon, if it shows 2014 maps, then you probably missed it.

can a Nissan dealer install the update as well, or does it have to be an Infiniti dealer (just wondering if a Nissan dealer might charge less)?

probably not most dealerships the labor rate is pretty much the same. Does anybody know what is required for this install and how they actually do it?

They connect to the Navigation system via a special connector and laptop. It connects via the Memory slot on next to the ashtray.

There is no other way to update maps, you have to go to the dealer. My dealer charged me about $89 for labor if I remember correctly back in 2012. I'll probably wait another year for my next update, no need to do it every year.

Thought I'd update this thread in case anybody else is interested. Since my original post I've been periodically checking the Navteq website about once a week, and just noticed today that the 2014 maps are on sale for $99. I went ahead and bought it. I had already checked with my dealer and they charge $99 to install. Nissan dealer can't do it.
ok so $200 for new maps blows but since I still have the original one from 08 I figure I should be good for quite awhile after this update.

Just can't believe it costs an additional $140 to install (at least in Chicago).

Will likely pay for it, since it hasn't been updated since new ('08), but it's a lot of coin when I have an iPhone that's always up to date... I rarely drive to the boonies.

The DVD based systems were too easy to pirate, so they went security overkill. They came to their senses in 09 or 2010 and made those user upgradeable.

The "Official Notification" letter arrived in today's mail from Infinity.

$99.00 for the 2014 navigation system map update. I am still using the 08 maps that came with the G. I may hold off another year. Some of the major roads here in S Florida are going through upgrades and it is likely those traffic patterns won't be on this disk.

The letter says to visit www.infinitinavigation.com/navi or call 1-877-628-6279 to purchase the $99.00 update.
