Final Decisions Before Purchasing

If your in a stop and go city / traffic most of the time, you will def see around 15-18mpg. And I'm talking about 90% tho stop and go (this could be red lights, traffic, stop signs, speed bumps, etc) . But I heard on the freeway and open roads, you can average 24-27mpg. I'm no genius and I don't own the car yet, and i for sure am not as knowledgeable with the G as you guys are, but from what I'm reading, its the best car for the value.
When I say that, compared to BMW , Audi, and Mercedes (sure, Infinit has the least luxury out of all of them), they compete with horse power, somewhat luxury, and the G KILLS EVERYONE ONE OF THOSE THREE in maint. cost / repairs. Ive been reading hearing that the maint cost for G's is liek Acuras and Lexus's, of course more than a Honda, but no where near the price of Bimmers and Audis. But then again, we got the horror story of the gasket and OP -_- so who knows. But I might get a 09 Sport G37 Sedan tomrorow. If i do, ill post pictures.

Exactly why I'm looking at em, can't find a 300 hp sedan for cheaper, plus it has some luxury. I'm in the same boat. Waiting on my Jeep to sell. I average 13-14 mpg freeway and city with the Jeep, so I want something that'll get me at least 20 ish average. The mpg and gasket issue has me wary though. I'm going to drive my buddies 330i tonight.. less hp, but looks better imo, better mpg, and drives sportier, and no known big issues (g35 has gasket issue, 335's have turbo and fuel pump issues, Audi is just too slow and mom-car-esque imo). I've only ridden in it not driven it though. like you said, the G is the clear winner minus the gasket issue!

And for your 20MPG, I got 23.5mpg on my way home from the car (20 miles ish) and it was in 80% freeway (30% was traffic) and 20% city. And the 23.5 suprised the **** outta me hahaha. I was expecting like17 but when I seen 23.5 I was like
Hahaha here are pics of the car

Overall, it can achieve good MPG but you have to WANT it. It can give you power but it eliminates the factor of GREAT to GOOD mpg. But you can still achieve it.
